Is there any provision for Research Assistanceship?
Ans. For promoting research work 10 Research Assistantships can be granted by a Lead Institution. The Institutions shall follow AICTE norms for this purpose. The requirement and number of Research Assistantships will be based on thorough examination of research proposals and approval by the BOG of the Institute. The expenditure incurred on Research Assistantship(s) is reimbursable under the Project. The Institutions will develop performance indicators for judging the impact of this activity. These shall be reviewed in every JRM. The provision of Research Assistantships is not available to the Network Institutions at this stage, as many of the Network Institutions do not have adequate PG level courses and research faculty. However, their requirement can be considered on merit in due course of time. Such Proposals will be invited as and when the decision in this regard is taken.
