There are rebate programs available for first time home buyers. I`ve outlined below some of the plans. One of the best breaks is the land transfer tax rebate which I`ve included first. This can save you up to $2,000 at closing. Most are all postive naturally, but as far as negatives are concerned there are few other than some of the strategies not everyone financially cannot accomplish.
