Is there any truth in the rumour that Clint Eastwood is Stan Laurels illegitimate son?
I am sure there is no truth in it. Clint Eastwood was born in San Francisco in 1930. He is actually Clint Eastwood Jr, as he is named after his father, Clint Eastwood Sr. Stan Laurel was English born, in 1890. He married 4 times, twice to the same woman: Lois Nielson (1926–34) Virginia Ruth Rogers (1935–38) Vera Ivanova Shuvalova (“Illeana”) (1938–40) Virginia Ruth Rogers (1941–46) Ida Kitaeva Raphael (1946–65) He would have been married to Lois at the time of Clint Eastwood’s birth. He was working in Los Angeles at the time, for Hal Roach’s studio. The chances of him zipping across from Los angeles and running into Ruth Eastwood b 1909 Piedmont CA, and fathering a child with her, are next to impossible. She met Clint’s father when she was 13 and he was 15 and they dated exclusivley until they married in the late 1920s.(Clint had an older sister Jeanne) The rumour seems to have started in a comic book plage, when a child commented that he/she thought the two men had facial similarities
