Is there anything different about playing in the Kraft Nabisco Championship compared with the other LPGA majors?
Kerr: It is steeped in tradition. We always get to play in the pro-ams with some fun movie stars. Kraft Nabisco is an unbelievable sponsor. They send us, seriously, a package of stuff which weighs about 50 pounds. The hospitality is great. The golf course is pristine. Everything is run first rate. Q: How are you preparing for the first major of the year? Kerr: By playing well. (And also) the same way I would normally prepare. I practice a lot. I play a lot. I try and play in a lot of events, and I’m trying to take my game to a new level. I have new equipment and it seems to be working. Q: Do you have any favorite clubs? Kerr: All of them right now! (Laughs) I really love my driver and my putter. My irons are tremendous. Q: How do your sponsors play a role in your life? Kerr: I’m sponsored by the Mutual of Omaha, which is one of the biggest Fortune 500 companies. They’re great. They’re involved in USA Swimming and they have a man on the Nationwide Tour (Joe Ogilvie) and a man on the PGA
