Is there anything i can do to help really weak ankles?
I think that slowly increasing your exercise will help; a sudden increase in the amount of exercise you do would give anyone aches and pains. Swimming is good exercise and doesn’t strain your ankles, as they’re not bearing your weight. A cool compress may soothe your ankles, and raising them above the height of your heart will reduce the swelling. Ibuprofen is a good painkiller and anti-inflammatory, so might be useful to you. But don’t take it too often, as it can have side-effects if used too much. I don’t think a doctor will be able to help you, unless you get worse. It’s a case of slowly increasing your ankles’ strength, without damaging them by over-exercise.
