Is there creosote in pine mulch?

The only thing about using the chips from the pine trees is the diseases they have in them. If you look at the trunk of the trees, they usually have places where the bark looks like someone bored little holes in it, that is usually from the beetles boring in and eating the sap out of the trees. They lay their eggs and then the young take over all the destructive duties. You have a yard of trees or a yard of dead diseased limbs and cones to pick up. The pine beetles might still be there, so I don’t know if I would take the chance of using it in a vegetable garden but it should be good to mulch around other shrubs for the winter.I have a yard of pines too, and I hate those cones.
