Is there going to be staff at the Foyer 24/7?
YES. In addition to a commitment to staffing the Foyer 24/7, AEOA will form a Foyer Advisory Committee made up of neighbors, City representation, ministerial representation, local service providers, and youth. This advisory committee will be charged with evaluating and providing recommendations regarding staff coverage, community relations, and other aspects of the Foyer project. The advisory committee will provide the community a consistent opportunity to be part of the Foyer and the Foyer an opportunity to be connected with the community.AEOA originally proposed staffing the Foyer like Bill’s House (the AEOA emergency shelter and short-term transitional housing facility in Virginia). Bill’s House has Case Managers on-site during the day, in addition to night and weekend staff; however, there are times when a Case Manager is absent in order to transport a client somewhere or to meet with someone.
