Is there much difference between the book Wicked and the play?
Yeah apparently she does not have an extra marital affair – Fiyero is not married, and in college she is just trying to decide between two guys, Boq and Fiyero, which to date. Fiyero and Glinda get engaged after college, she turns Boq into the tin woodman, then Elphaba and Fiyero run off together, she turns him into the scarecrow to save his life, and in the play it just seems like Dorothy melted her with a bucket of water – really at the end she is alive and with Fiyero and they leave Oz. I know that was totally confusing, but so is the plot of the play if you already know the plot of the book.
