Is there much to do in Sharm el Sheikh?
It is very much a hotel based holiday in Sharm. So, make sure that your hotel offers a good all inclusive programme, which includes a la carte restaurants, activities and things to do. Also, check to see if the hotel offers a shuttle bus service down into Sharm, and does it need to be pre-booked, and the related costs. In Sharm itself, it is very much set up for the tourist, worth visiting once, but when I visited, this was enough. There are bars and restaurants to choose from, including some international names. There are lots of shops, selling the usual holiday bits and pieces. The weather in Sharm is good, snorkelling fab, and you can also arrange an excursion to Cairo if you wish.
