According to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania, U.S.’s low ranking in global life expectancy should not be blamed on the health care system of the nation. This makes me wonder… So…what is to blame for obesity if the country, economy, and health care system should not be the main options? Some go as far as to criticize McDonald’s, video games, cars, computers, and television for obesity. Such people believe that humans’ attempts to make life easier are among the factors of obesity. Yet, I have never heard of a case where a person is forced to buy a television and eat a McDonald’s burger in front of it at gunpoint.
