Effective July 1, 2008 all homestead/farmstead exclusions which have been approved by the Montgomery County Board of Assessments will be eligible for property tax relief. The homestead/farmstead exclusion for the current 2010-2011 fiscal year is the lesser of the homestead/farmstead assessment or $14,360 of assessment. A $14,360 assessment reduction results in a $258.84 decrease in real estate taxes.
