Is there really a humane way to kill an animal for fur or meat?

I eat meat as well as plants. I wear leather, too, but usually only cowhide which would otherwise go to waste when the cow, steer, or bull is killed. I don’t eat veal, because calves that are raised for veal are not treated well at all. There are ways that are very inhumane to kill animals. For instance, one of the reasons that trapping animals is regulated is because some traps don’t kill the animals, but just injure and hold it. The animal is in intense pain for hours or even days. It might be killed and eaten by something else while it can’t escape. Sometimes animals gnaw off their own legs to get out of this trap. Even if they get away, they might (and usually do) develop infections, plus of course a wild animal that’s missing a leg finds it much harder to survive. You’ve probably heard of the term “coyote ugly”. This refers to a situation where someone put on beer goggles the night before (that is, got so drunk that ANYONE in the bar looked great), and went home with an exceptiona

Im sure there are humane ways to do this…but since I’ve never killed an animal for either purpose I wouldn’t know. I do think it’s wrong to wear real fur though. But not so much just because they are killed “inhumanely” but because I think it’s pathetic that most if not all of the people who wear this animal fur do so purely to make a fashion statement. I could understand if it was like, i dunno, the 1800’s and you were freezing your butt off and you needed some fur to keep you warm, but what these people are doing today is pure exploitation of these animals.
