No. This fund is administered by CUPE 3903 and was won in the last round of bargaining. We are administering the fund ourselves for 2 reasons: 1) If we went through an external provider we would pay up to 15% of the money we gained in bargaining to overhead/admin costs. We thought it was better for all the money to go to our members. The honorariums for the committee do not come out of the Extended Health Fund, but out of our ‘committees’ line item. The database worker honorarium comes out of the casual labour fund. This way all the funds we’ve won go straight to our members and their health needs.
