Is Toastmasters useful for training professionals?
I know many trainers who have benefited from Toastmasters — for all the reasons already stated here. It’s about improving and polishing your speaking and communication skills. So if you want to strengthen your speaking skills, go for it. Just don’t go into it hoping to improve your training/facilitation skills and abilities. That’s not what Toastmasters is about. Instead, consider what the fanatic facilator has suggested. Then, you’ll truly get a well-rounded approach to your professional development.
