Torchwood series three has apparently been cut to a 5 episode mini-series (each episode 1 hour long), which will tell a single story. Also they will be shown over the course of a single week early next year. It will be shown on BBC1 rather than BBC2, possibly in an earlier time slot (possibly pre-watershed, which may mean it is less adult in nature). The BBC has also said that there may be further episodes later in 2009, but no official announcement has been made yet regarding those. So Whether there will be another full series, or a second mini-series is as yet unknown.
