Vanilla is a popular wedding cake flavor, but nowadays couples are choosing more adventurous flavors for their cakes. Some popular newer flavors include red velvet, chocolate buttercream, carrot cake, white and dark chocolate, lemon, coconut, banana cream and chocolate devil's food cake.

Probably, but I love the way a red velvet cake with white icing looks when it is cut. I think mine was marbled.
