Is Vitamix the best blender / food processor / juicer?

I have friends that use Vitamix – it’s a darn good machine, and I have nothing bad to say about it. But I’m a little happier that I got a Blendtec blender. I purchased it at the county fair, and have been consistently happy with it. It is no loss of power, but it’s simpler to use. No blades to change, easier to clean and use. Container is good. It’s a great machine – I use it 2-3 times a week just to make puree soup straight from frozen or leftover fresh vegetables. Vitamix has a slightly better product line, I think (just as I look through the web page). But to me that’s not a bonus. That shows that their stuff is more complicated. I’m a smart guy, but I use my blender because it’s powerful and easy. Both are powerful enough to blend any type of soup, and actually heat it by friction (to steaming hot! Just from the blender!) Both are powerful enough to make powdered sugar from regular sugar, or to grind flour or coffee. It’s a big purchase, and worth investigating which product is rig
