Isn FoGtoons Copyright Infringement?
There’s actually still a debate as to wether or not Sprite Comics/Movies infringe on the copyrights held by the video game manufacturers, Brian Clevenger (yeah, like you need a link to find 8-Bit Theater) has an essay he wrote somewhere on the subject of just how much is borrowed and how much is original. I like that defense, mainly my greatest asset is the fact that i’m gaining no assets in this occupation. I’m not making money off of these things at present so really even if it is copyright infringement they can’t sue me for much… i hope… honestly, I have no idea, but my goal was not to steal but to play homage to the biggest influences in my life, video games and comic books. I have yet to recieve a cease-and-decist letter.
