Isn what Perverted Justice does illegal?
Strictly speaking, the posting of publically accessible information is, in most cases, not illegal. What IS illegal is the harasssment campaign which follows the posting of a “bust”. In addition, many questions are being asked about the sources of much of the information which is publically posted, such as DMV records and information contained in numerous confidential employee databases. The use of this information for purposes other than their intended purpose IS illegal. The subsequent harasssment and terrorization of their victims is also illegal.
