Generally Ayurvedic medicines are perceived to be slow in action on diseases, but not true. It all depends on the nature of the disease with which one would be suffering and most importantly the severity/ stage of the disease process. The disease management methods of Ayurveda differ extensively from the other medical systems and so the time taken for the management of the same. Ayurveda has a unique management system of resolving the pathology from a fundamental level.
