There are some reports of that happening, particularly in the northern part of the US, but it’s not widespread. Some berbers have a Ph factor that reacts with the pad causing a discoloration of the face yarns. Just ask your dealer for a guaranteed non-yellowing pad. It’s not expensive and your potential problem is solved.
