I’ve heard moonwalks are dangerous. How safe are they?

Moonwalks are very safe, as long as all the rules are followed and common sense is used. They must be supervised at all times, and the rules must be enforced! In other words, USE COMMON SENSE.

There are many manufactures of moonwalks and the safety features differ from unit to unit. The trick to having an injury free event is to ensure the safety standards are followed during the set-up of the unit, and the use of unit throughout the event.

Both of these points can be met by selecting a company that has gone through training and received certification by the Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization (SIOTO).  Companies that received certification are knowledgeable of the safety features required and they will take the time to ensure it’s set up properly.  They will also walk the assigned "operator" through the proper use of the unit and answer any questions the operator may have.

How would you know the rental company has this training?  Most companies that have received certification proudly display the logo on their website.  If you’re in doubt, just ask the representative on the phone before you book with them or you can verify the company has received the training by checking the SIOTO website.  Wishing you a safe "Jumptastics" party/event!
