Ive installed my ImageMate on Windows 95/98, but how come the drive letter says Drive not ready or my ImageMate has taken another devices drive letter?
This is due to a conflict with another device on or near that drive letter. 1. Right click on My Computer Icon 2. Go to Device Manager 3. Go to Disk Drives. 4. double-click on the ImageMate entry: (ImageMate, Parallel Flash Unit, SmartMedia SSFDC, SanDisk. SDCFB-XX, etc.) 5. Click on the settings tab. 6. In this window you will see the current drive letter assignment. To change the drive letter assignment: set the reserve starting and ending drive letter assignments to the FREE letter of your choice. For example Current drive letter assignment: D Reserve start drive letter: J: Reserve end drive letter: J: Click OK, and then OK The system will prompt you to RESTART for the changes to take effect. Verify the drive letter in MY COMPUTER or EXPLORER. Note: If you are on a network, you must log off the network before changing the drive letter.
