I’ve read the Superintendent’s message regarding financial issues. Will potential reductions apply just to schools or will they apply to central administration as well?
As in the past, budget reductions will start with central administration and support services. Last summer, central office items such as non-labor, overtime, and extra-time were reduced. Districtwide, we expect to save money in utilities. Unfortunately, the level of reductions required to balance the budget requires reductions at the school level. As always, our priorities remain academic achievement and living within our means.
