Transferring financial data from Quicken into Moneydance requires that the data first be exported from tquicken into a QIF file. This can be accomplished from the File->Export… menu option within Quicken. There are essentially two types of QIF files. Those that contain only one accounts worth of data and those that contain all account information for multiple accounts. The import process is slightly different depending on whether your QIF file has one or many accounts in it. Follow the first set of instructions if you have all your quicken data in a single QIF file follow the second set if you have one QIF file per account. NOTE: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU EXPORT ALL YOUR QUICKEN DATA INTO A SINGLE QIF FILE. DOING SO MAKES THE IMPORT PROCESS MUCH SIMPLER AND LESS ERROR PRONE.
