Legal Eagles, Is there an equivalent right under British law the same as in America concerning the Amendment?
Yes but it has been amended, so that the Judge can say to the jury note that this person has not spoken and this maybe to hide something. In practice most juries do not need telling, but can see for themselves whether the accused is keeping quiet on quite reasonable grounds or because he is guilty as sin. B, Liar wanted to get rid of the Law all together, as being a liar he could only see people would only keep quiet to hide something. Or make up a story of weapons of mass destruction. Oops it just slipped out, but I don’t think anyone will have noticed.
