Let’s stay on the question of academic success. Can NEGST offer an academically successful programme?
Yes, we believe so. What we have said about curriculum and student body is a part of the answer. It is not irrelevant information. The relevance of the curriculum is vital to producing an academically successful program. Q: You’re ducking the issue! No we’re not. We just want to make sure that you are not going to sidestep relevance! We believe that it is a central issue in measuring academic success, and if you grant us this point, we’ll continue. Q: Continue, then! We can not hope to have a library up to full western standards for a long time. But we do plan for students to spend a couple of months doing library research in a good western institution. We have a good faculty – a fair mix of African colleagues from different countries, plus some western missionary colleagues. But we do not have (at the moment) scholars with an international reputation on our faculty. However, we plan to have international scholars visit the programme regularly. We will read their work before they come,
