Local authorities currently require a “wet signature” for some licensing regimes – how will these be affected by the Services Directive?

The Directive requires that applications should be made electronically and remotely. Local authorities should therefore first consider the reasons why they require a wet signature and whether these could be fulfilled by some other means. Some Member States are able to provide a digital signature, which the Point of Single Contact will be able pass on.
