I have to agree. Unfortunately, we live in a visual world. The ironic thing is, often it is the less attractive looking people who have a sincere heart and sensitivity to others, not the good-looking people, who are usually spoiled by their pretty looks and have grown callous to good treatment. And you know what orderandlaw? Not only good-looking people, but overall (at least where I live) white people are treated better than visible minority people. Not in an overt way, but in subtle ways—-for example, a white person often will approach a white salesperson in a store rather than a dark salesperson, because he/she thinks the latter doesn’t know how to speak English well or is afraid of him. Or at a cashier line, a white cashier will happily greet and chat with a white customer, but give a curt and apathetic response to a visible minority customer.
