Master Key System Importing – Can master key systems generated by a lock manufacturer be imported into Key Wizard?
Yes, if they meet specific a very specific format. Master key systems to be imported must be in an Excel format with comma separated values and they must have specific column headings. The headings must include: MK system ID, sort order code, key symbol field one, key symbol field two, complete key symbol, blind code, key description, manufacturer, keyway, individual bitting positions, bitting search and number of pins. A sample file format with column headings is available from Key Wizard Tech Support. Key Wizard does not provide a service to input customers data or convert files to an Excel format.
