Teachers may attend only one academy, even if their teaching assignments change during the two-year period of the project. (The specific criteria for eligibility to attend an academy may be found in the response to question #10.) We understand that there are campuses in small school districts (1A, 2A) where some teachers teach one or more of the core subjects (English language arts, reading, mathematics, science, or social studies) across a broad range of grade levels. This is also true for many special education and ESL teachers. If these teachers teach students in grade 6, 7, and/or 8, they may attend the one academy that best aligns to their teaching assignment.
