May I use surplus COMP, SB&M and GE credits to fulfill the FREE elective requirement?

Yes, any surplus credit, be it from COMP required courses, COMP electives, ENGG, SB&M, or GE electives can be counted as a FREE credit.Note that surplus credits from COMP required courses (e.g., 151H, 271H) cannot be used to fulfil COMP elective requirement. Also note that the COMP elective requirement is an “AND” clause, e.g., minimum 5 courses AND minumum 15 credits. For graduation checking, the ARRO separately checks whether students have fulfiled the required course requirements and the elective course requirements.
