Mediterranean Fan Palm leaves are turning brown?

Many of effects could have taken place to your palm trees during snow cover. The leaves could have been frozen and then when they thawed out, the cells that make up the leaves bursted, there for turning them brown. Another reason could be mal-nutrition. Right now the palm tree wouldn’t benefit from any fertilizer because it is in a stage of hibernation so to say and will not absorb any nutrients. It is until spring time is when they will require fertilizer. Make sure to water the palm twice to three times a week, avoid watering when freezing temperatures are already there. Place a cover over them to protect them form further snow(freeze) damage. You may also use a wrap to protect them. None the less your palm trees should do fine. Just make sure to cover them with a trash can or a blanket or any thing that will not allow snow to hit the leaves ot the new bud (or Spear) comming out. Good luck, CHeers to winters and protecting palm trees !!!
