studies from mold remediation work sites should document the effectiveness of MDF- 500 on mold spores and mycotoxins. Then mold remediators, IEPs, and building owners can evaluate the impact of spreading mold spores and fragments from one area to another. Until case studies are completed, remediators should continue to set up containment barriers to minimize the potential of cross-contamination. An additional procedure for controlling movement of mold spores is establishing negative pressure differentials by maintaining lower air pressure in the contaminated work areas. As with containment barriers, remediators cannot determine whether negative pressure differentials are needed in particular remediation situations without first knowing what effect MDF-500 has on mold contamination. Case studies should document the effectiveness of MDF-500 on mold contamination (spores and mycotoxins).
