Mouthpiece makers often describe a Chedeville chamber and a Kaspar chamber. What is the difference?
Generally speaking, Charles Chedeville chambers tended to be large and had a deep double concave baffle and a wider throat. Kaspar mouthpieces had chambers with a smaller total volume and when compared to many Ch. Chedevilles, Kaspar mouthpieces had baffles that were not as deep, did not have as extreme double concavity and had narrower throats. Henri Chedevilles had a variety of throat dimensions and were made with either deep or high baffles, but in my opinion, the best Henri Chedeville mouthpieces were made with narrow throats and had baffles that were not very deep.
