My 2005 hyundai elantra alarm is going crazy!?

0

I have a 2005 hyundai elantra with 47,000 miles on it. Earlier today I tried to unlock it using the remote. It wouldn’t unlock so I used the key to open the door. This caused the alarm to go off and the car won’t start. I reset the alarm per the dealer service managers instructions, but by that point the battery was dead. I jumped the car, allowed it to run for approx 2 min, turned it off, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn’t turn over. I then got out of the car and locked it using the remote, and unlocked it using the remote, but when I opened the door again, the alarm went off, again. It is still going off now which I assume it will do until the battery is completely dead. I plan on taking it to the dealer to get fixed but I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect. Do I have a short in the alarm, a battery problem, or an alternator problem?
