The EVOLT E-500 allows you to preview the depth-of-field by looking through the viewfinder with the lens stopped-down. To use the preview function, the One-Touch WB button needs to be enabled as the PREVIEW Function button in the camera menu. To enable the Function button for the preview function: • Open the camera menu by pressing the MENU button. • Toggle down to the Setup 1 menu, indicated by the icon of a wrench followed by the number 1, and toggle right. • Toggle down to the FUNCTION menu item and toggle right. • Toggling up or down, select PREVIEW. • Press the OK button to set the selection, and then press MENU to exit the menu. The One-Touch WB button then will become the depth-of-field-preview button. Holding the button down will close the aperture to the set f-stop to provide a view of the depth-of-field. The image will appear lighter or darker inrelation to the f-stop.
