First of all, being parents, we certainly understand that kids have moods, and we cannot always control what they are going to do. Dont panic! Trying to control moods and reactions of children is usually futile and only makes matters worse. As the photographers, Kenneth and I will need to gain the trust of the children, and make them comfortable with us, so we can photograph them. We have patience and understand how trying it can be at times. If the child is a toddler, we may start with parents or older kids first and have some fun. Who wouldnt want to join in if everyone is having a good time? No child wants to be left out. Eventually, they will join the party. Often, when parents answer for their child, or instruct their children to "smile", the child will stiffen and do just the opposite of what is asked.
