All computers on the resident hall network must have virus protection to remain on the network. If your machine came with virus protection, you need to check to see if it is only a trial subscription. It will expire and you will not have protection. We recommend removing any trial subscription virus protection software by going into the control panel in add/remove programs and select remove. Then install McAfee. NOTE: Never install more than one virus protection software on your machine at a time. It could have undesirable results. If you have current virus protection on your machine and intend to renew the subscription, do not worry about installing Otterbein’s free version of McAfee.
