My daughter really enjoys foxhunting, but doesn spend much time in the dressage ring. Why does she need to demonstrate dressage riding skills in her ratings?
Foxhunting skills are the traditional base of our organization—and our SOPs. So—if you look at the SOPs closely, you will notice that the expectations are to demonstrate riding skills “on the flat,” not necessarily “dressage.” However, the skills are the same. Ask your daughter just how handy it is to know how to rein-back, or leg-yield, when she is riding with the Field!
