While this may be a temporary fix for papules and pustules often times this treatment worsens flushing episodes, triggers a permanently red face, and induces burning sensations. The only rosacea sufferers that should consider this treatment are those with thickening of the nose (rhinophyma). In these cases, dermabrasion or laser resurfacing are used to re-shape the nose.
