Wrong. If you plan on eating a large supper, we suggest that you eat four or five small meals throughout the day, just as you would normally do on the program. This will help in two ways. You will eat less at supper and it will keep your metabolism fired up. The longer you go between meals the slower your metabolism becomes. This is why breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After having not eaten overnight (usually 7 to 9 hours), your body needs that nutrition to jump-start your metabolism. Eat often, even if you are planning a large meal later in the day.

I definitely don’t recommend skipping all your meals in order to save your calories for Thanksgiving dinner. If you don’t eat at all during the day, it’s most likely you’ll be starving by the time dinner comes around and you’ll just overeat an unhealthy amount.

A smarter and healthier option is to eat breakfast and lunch as usual. For dinner, even though it’s Thanksgiving, eat the regular amount of calories and food you consume at a typical dinner. Because there are so many more options available, get a little portion of everything. This is a smart method to counter stuffing yourself and then feeling bloated and sick after.
