My father is dying, what songs are good for a dad,and grandfather at a funeral?
First of all, I’m so sorry that your dad is reaching the end of this life. But, and I’m not trying to be light about this, if you are a Christian, you know that he is going to a much better place. Especially if he is suffering right now. I’ve had a lot of death in my family. My parents were both murdered by my adopted brother in 1992. My paternal grandfather died with Muscular Dystrophy. My maternal grandfather died with Leukemia. My 3 yr old nephew died with a brain tumor last Sept. Just 3 years ago, my husband died of a massive heart attack. The songs at a funeral should reflect the person’s life beliefs and characteristics. With my nephew, the songs included “Jesus Loves Me” and “If You’re Happy & You Know It, Clap Your Hands”. Those songs may not sound appropriate to everyone, but they were songs that Nathan loved.
