Google offers lots of different backdrop styles (this IS Google, after all), and they’re easy to set up. Just click on Settings in the upper right of your Gmail page, then choose the “Themes” tab from down on the far right. Click on the style you want and it’s instantly applied. (There’s even a “random” option that changes your background…at random!
