My gums really hurt from dental take home bleaching…What can I do to prevent it or help it?
Prevent, just do not put so much bleach in the trays. Only put a very small amount and then once the trays are inserted you can press around on the tray and cause squishing of the bleach gel to spread to the other areas of the teeth so less squishes onto the gums if you put less in the tray. Also, you can put one tiny pin spot in the tray and smear it around the tooth area of the tray before putting them in. If the gums still get bleach on them, wipe the gums. And, if you still have the problem you can apply vaseline to the gumline before putting the trays in.
