My Hotpoint WDD906 shows error code F13. What is this, and what is the fix?

Also, these tips will help others with a similar problem. HOTPOINT WDD906AUK Washer-Dryer: Showing code F13 (when set to dry) a short time after start up. Usually this is because the blower unit has shut down as it is overheating. This code relates to the blower/dryer unit and simply says thermistor or blower motor fault. To check these parts it is necessary to open up the machine. This job should only be carried out by a competent and (ideally suitably qualified) person. The thermistor (temperature sensor) should read about 25,000 ohms & the motor can be checked if the heater element wires are temporarily disconnected. If either part is faulty then they should be replaced. if it IS the motor it might be possible to free if the rotor is jammed). If these parts are found to be OK,
