The issues in your posting are really yours. This man has told you over and over by his actions that he is not vested in you. He told you that his former girlfried was the love of his life, that he didn’t think he would ever love anyone again and he refuses to talk to you. The real question here is why are you there?
I am thinking you’re a romantic who believes that love conquers all. The whole truth is that love conquers all that love can conquer. If you were in therapy with me, I would ask what is so fascinating for you about men that do not return your emotional investment. Is this a typical scenario for you? Relationships full of passion on your part and very little coming back? Do you get overly involved in the troubles of others? Does sacrifice make you feel good about yourself?
Get some help. There are positive ways to channel all that energy and passion and love.
