My opening to mount the UnderAire Crawl Space Ventilator is smaller than the mounting plate. Can the mounting plate be trimmed to fit my opening?

In most cases the mounting plate can be trimmed to fit the opening you are working with. The V1D can be trimmed to fit a 610 inch opening and the V2D can be trimmed to fit a 615 inch opening.
