Orangeburg pipe is so flimsy using anything caustic like copper sulphate will certainly make matters worse. Since you already have penetrations in the main waste line, I would suggest replacing just the section of affected pipe (if you can find a round piece to place a no-hub coupling on). Barring that, I would accept this as a challenge to make you first upgrade to the home your main waste system and remove as much Orangeburg pipe as you can.
