My strata has been having problems with the door closers in the building?
Door closers are an intregal part of the building security and maintenance. They have to be adjusted properly and the proper grade has to be installed for the traffic. The closer on the main door should be stronger that the one on the electrical room. Many times on construction a one sizes fits all procedure is used. An improperly installed closer will slam and annoy owners, will not secure the door, and will create unneeded wear on the locks and frame. Installing a properly graded door closer will save money. Cars have been broken into with no signs of forced entry. Many people enter your building on a daily basis that are not owners. They should be only allowed to enter those areas needed. Parkades should be secured as a seperate area where keys are needed.
